R & R
Here I am. Home again.
I've been gone three months, but really it feels like I have never left.
I met my new nephew. He's nice enough. Kind of finicky. He expects a lot of the people around him. Likes things just so. I think the general idea of his child rearing experience (i.e. his life) is for everyone in his vicinity to dote on him. Completely. He doesn't fancy me. I'm not the doting type...not yet. And it's true what Adell said about the French. He doesn't fancy that either. He'll learn what his Auntie 'Mille (pronounced "ant-ee meal") is all about, though. We'll get through this phase together.
I'm staying at his house, though, and I'll be honest--tonight's my first night; I'm not fancying waking up every three hours when he does. Go figure. So we'll see how it goes. I might move back to my parents' house before long.
When my plane landed and I debarked, my dad met me at the gate [one of the many perks of a parent who works at US Airways]. It was good to get a few one-on-one minutes with him. Then my mom and my Grandma picked me up, along with Preston. What fun it was to see them all! It's lovely here in Mesa. It's like I never left. The only thing different is that Bath and Body Works had its huge sale, and all my relatives consequently have Wallflower air fresheners in their homes. Mesa smells better than I remember.
I've had my first Super Burrito Carne, and my first Diet Doctor Pepper** from QT. We're well on our way.
As it is, I'm quite fatigued, but in keeping with my 5-days-a-week resolve, I thought I'd better post. So here is the post. Tomorrow I'll write something better. Promise.
Oh, and post script: Thank you to all the people who came out of the shadows and let me know they're reading my blog--what a thrilling surprise! Also, thank you to the 16 people who've voted so far. And whoever said I should never. ever. post on this blog...are you the same person who told me I could just go to Hell? Just come out with it already; I'm really curious to know who you are, and what you have against me!
**I read and re-read this sentence. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Finally, it hit me like lightning: I spelled out "Doctor Pepper." Who does that? It's Dr Pepper (with no "." at the end of Dr.). I've been away for far, far too long.

I'm glad you're home and getting to know your nephew. I've only seen him once as your sister was walking home from your mom's house. He's quite cute.
As for the frequency of your blog- as far as I'm concerned the more the better. I love when people have new posts for me to read so I can put off a little longer what I should be doing. It's a great way for me to be entertained and procrastinate. Since I'm not a writer, I only post on my blog to document my life like a day to day journal. I'm horrible about keeping journals so blogging is my compromise.
So this comment is on the last 3 posts. I had some catching up to do. I only have time to read blogs about 2 times a week, so sounds like I will always be catching up, but I LOVE reading your blog so it is enjoyable. You have such a knack for writing. Keep it up! Anyways, your truffles look divine. Yum!
I can't believe that Kyle got the shingles. Seems like lately he has been getting this or that or the other. Maybe he was always this prone to sickness, losing teeth or whatever else might be fall him, but we just didn't know about it until now. Now we have you, a faithful blogger wife to keep us updated. You know, Jeff and Kyle don't talk about health things often, what guys do though. We seriously need to get together though, because I have 'fell in love with you' through your blog. I have "Call Camille" on my to do list. How sad is that. So let me know when you are back in the country and we can go on a double date or something.
That is awful your ER experience. I think next time it would be WELL worth your time to go to the Lethbridge ER instead. Sounds like it is a gong show in Raymond. Sorry your experience was so awful. I guess we are really lucky to have free healthcare. You forget sometimes what a huge benefit that is. (unless you have to go to the Raymond ER at which you are treated like crap!) Well, I better end this because it definitely is getting to be a HUGE comment. Have fun in Mesa, I wish I was there too. I loved it for the week I was down there and would definitely move there if given the option, I think.
give my regards to a few places while you are there. QT, Petes, Neds crazy sub (although I think Steves is the one you frequent)and Filibertos. Andy would be jealous of what you are eating! You are lucky to be there. I am envious!
girl, I am so excited that you are here too! AND, I do need to come over and see adells sweet preston, so maybe I will kill two birds with one stone...BUT I am debating if adell would accually want me to come over! It is really hard ajusting to life with a baby, maybe I will give her more time.
So as I was doing my ritual blog checking to see if anyone had updated I got a little happy perk when I was about to click your name. "Hey, Camille is a five-a-weeker. She definitely have something new!" It was quite exciting. Ah QT, how i miss thee. Drink up for me. I'd invite you up to Flag, but seeing as you just left Canada, I'm sure you are enjoying the Mesa weather immensely. Have a blast for me!
