Does This Playlist Make My Blog Look Fat?
Oh, boy—have I ever got a problem.
See, I don’t like being poked fun of (whereas everyone else in the world enjoys it, I know). Unfortunately for me, I’ve been reading this blog and I have become mind-wrackingly paranoid that the author is making fun of me--me, personally. And so now, whether or not I actually fit into the group of people the blogger is writing about, I am painfully trying to decide what to do—if anything. See, I’m worried about the music playlist on Archives of Our Lives, because some of the songs I play are also featured on Seriously So Blessed.
And I don’t think it matters, either, that I change my music almost constantly to match my daily blog posts. I still feel like a total loser. This is almost worse than going to a movie by myself.
So come on—be honest: Does this playlist make my blog look fat?
Do you upload my blog, Archives of Our Lives, and automatically hit the “mute” button before you even start reading?
Because sometimes I do, and I'm not kidding. Sometimes it’s 100% distracting...yet other times I think the songs really do add an interesting element that I’d hate to lose.
But, impressionable as I am, I will get rid of my music playlist altogether if you all decide I should…
…so should I?

Sorry, I adore you but the playlist has to go. Music on blogs makes me vomit in my mouth a little.

Hey! I do most all of my blog reading here at work, so I have to turn the volume off when I plug into your blog. This morning I actually forgot that my volume was up and accused my cube neighbor of playing music at his desk. Turns out it was me....looking at your blog...... BUT - I'm sure your music is great and if I wasn't here at work I'd be totally jammin. Seriously.
I'm so iffy on the music thing. It really all depends on the song and if I like it or not.
To be honest girl, I never have my volume up because I do all my blog reading at work...(that's just between you and me!) Ha! And I've come across other blogs with music playing and the last thing I need is "Like A Virgin" blasting at my desk when I go to view a blog - not that that's what you play, but you feel me ;-) So for me it doesn't matter, play what you want girl, it is your blog!

I prefer no music on blogs, It's distracting while i'm trying to read the blog and sometimes I don't realize how loud my sound is until I go to someone's blog and it starts blarring music almost waking up the kids. I think if one post is important to have music with then that's fine, but I think 24/7 with music is too much. like your wedding song with wedding pictures etc. but really its all up to you, i'm fine with pressing mute before reading.

Lol, what an antidilemma. If I already have my own music playing or talking to someone I find myself yanking the blue slide rectangle to the bottom and hitting the nice double line pause button. ...but, going to your blog and having the lonely silence filled with tasteful tones is irreplacable. No matter what you do, someone will think you should have done it another way.

I hate music on blogs; it's annoying. Especially if I forget that my volume is turned up and it blasts me... or if I have my own music on and they suddenly start going and clashing... it's just horrible.
Nothing against you or your blog, though.
Also, seriouslysoblessed is SO funny but I'm also paranoid I fall into the same category.
Me, I will love you no matter what you decide to do. And i miss you dearly...

perhaps it's the not reading blogs while working that makes it easy for me to manage the mute option. but i'm a rebel.
i really like that you always have songs to match the topic of your blog! i say keep the music...but what the heck is up with the annoying music currently on it? it keeps cutting out. if that is the kind of music you are asking about - its gotta go!!
YOU CANNOT TAKE YOUR MUSIC OFF THE BLOG!! Everyone else, if you don't want to listen, how hard is it to just press the mute button? Silence is lonely, and I can't focus reading unless there's music. It adds so much to your blog! It wouldn't be the same without it!
Oh, and I feel I am missing something- Why do you think the blog is mocking you?? Am I being a total blonde here bc I don't get it. Will someone be kind enough to explain?

I must admit, I have never, not even once listened to the music on your page. I'm not real sure why I don't but I don't and that's that... ~A
I don't enjoy music on blogs and like so many others I just turn down the sound, but I don't see it as a problem. I figure everybody can choose, soundtrack or no soundtrack, whatever works. But I do enjoy your blog and I will read it music or no.
