I never knew how much I needed to have a beautiful bed in my life...

I never knew how big a difference existed between average sheets...and lovely sheets...

I never realised that seven pillows on a bed--ridiculous though they are--could soothe me to sleep...

A headboard never seemed all that necessary before--let alone a foot board to match...
Extra brackets on bed frame so headboard would stop squeaking: Free labour.
Bed skirt, sheets, pillow cases, duvet, duvet cover, quilt, and one million pillows we'll never use: Gift from mother in law.
Sleeping like a queen for the rest of my life: About $250.00, all said and done.
*[Bet you thought I was going to say "Priceless," huh?]*

ReplyDeletepretty pretty pretty! Nice sheets are worth every penny on a lazy Sunday morning.
ReplyDeleteOh Camille You are so lucky. How come I can never great things on craigslist? Your bed looks absolutely divine.
ReplyDeleteHere's a question for your list. Why do numerous comments commend your clever craigslist action, and only one the ever generous source of ALL the bedding...your DEAR mother in law? And, i assume, the free labour of your dear husband?
ReplyDeleteApparently i'm not the only one here with agenda.
what kind of camera do you have? you always have clear pictures.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought of being a photographer? You're quite talented.

ReplyDeleteI want to know where your mother in-law got that bedding? Its great.
ReplyDeletei so agree, nunes family. gorgeous colours, textures, a stage set for a queen. mother in law seems to have great taste. though i wonder if her and camille picked it out together. i get the sense they do like to shop together.
ReplyDeleteone way or another, it's a beautiful bed, fit for royalty. I especially like the strong presence of the wooden headboard and footboard. i wish mine were that nice.
(and i don't even have a headboard or footboard. though sears is delivering a matte black steel railing type headboard this saturday, coincidentally. i'm so excited. should fit in well here. i looked for something in big beautiful wood, but i think it would overpower my small bedroom.)
ReplyDeleteyet again, inspired by the master(s).
I have always wanted a bed with tons of pillows like that. I should go out and buy some huh?
ReplyDeleteI love your headboard. And the fact that it was such an amazing deal too. Hmm maybe I need to look on Craigslist.
